Strategic Developments:

Regional collaboration assures better administration of programs intended to support at-risk and vulnerable adults and elders here in the North Country.

In the spring of 2011, A.V. Home Care Services of Berlin and Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, a department of Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, N.H. formed an alliance to offer a regionally based administration of State Social Service programs under contract to the State of NH DHHS, Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services.  Programs include support for at risk elderly under: TXX Adult in Home Care, TXX Homemaker Services, Protective Services, Nursing, Elder Abuse Counseling, Health Screening and TIIIB Health Aide Services. This collaboration is a particular point of pride and one we are sure will afford better access to, and availability of, much needed in-home help for all of Coos County.
